From MTC TO ZAIN

Zain 

from the [teaser campaign] to the revealer. This brand name has revealed itself today. Their interesting [website] says it all if you would like to dig more into the Zain services, spirit, logo and it’s values.

    Everyone knows by now that the whole thing was done in the UK; from name to logo to brand identity.

    I know that there's a whole rationale behind this new name, but for crying out loud, is that the best they were able to come up with?

    Some people might argue and say that this was the fruit of a very long list of names that were short listed to 3, and that was the best one; others have a slightly funnier version (not to be disclosed coz it messes with some very dignified people)… whatever the methodology, I believe that they could've done much better.

    As for the Logo, it looks like someone spilled something (probably their coffee) and saw the shape, hence creating this new logo! I don't know and I'll leave this to the experts to comment on!

    Finally, I'm not a color expert (I know that!!!!!) BUT has anyone seen those loose inserts/flyers that were distributed in the newspapers? I mean Yellow, Red, Purple, Dark Purple, Black, along with the logo colors… I envy the colorblind!

    By the way, someone should inform MTC or JWT that all their outdoors should be changed… What's the point of keeping the teaser, when all has been revealed!?!

    I saw my art director this morning charging his cell with an eezee card.. It was in black with the zain logo and a huge 03, looks cool. Better than those CHEESY lifestyle eezee cards.
