Why the cup cake!? it would have been nicer without it and keep the plate empty and open for anything that goes in it. The base idea is to share. The cup cake gave an extra meaning (whether positive or negative) that the reader doesn’t need.

I saw this in the morning, I wished to see it here :)

I loved the color, the background, but in the begning I thought there was a mistake, as the e-go is for one laptop! Its not a router! Only now I read here in the description, so I beleive its misleading! If I did not see it here I wont know! Its simple, and I see it good, although I agree with WAKIM about the cupcake. And 12 persons on 1 cupcake? :D

  3. Not bad….

    Who’s the ad agency?

  4. As a meaning an empty plate with a lot of spoons or a cupcake with a lot of spoons they both mean the same thing… sharing. Visually on the other hand the cupcake is more attractive then an empty plate.

  5. Real Creative

12 spoons on a tiny cup cake ? isnt that negative by its self ? sharing a small piece ?! with 11 other people ?? there might be better ways to look into this task. i dont think it works, it seems as first layer thinking and should be pushed to a second round to get better results. it looks pretty, beautifully executed and all that..

    BUT..

conceptually, makes no sense, does not make me want to upgrade to/ or buy this product. i will think directly about how big is my piece out of this piece. (which is bandwidth when we translate it to internet lingo)

Since, zain is all about a beautiful world, and uptill now their visuals include a human element, they should of looked into the direction of sharing amongst humans and literally projected that onto the Advert itself.

but be happy, good job with all the execution. the first ad i have ever seen with 6 colors and yet looks simple.

I agree with mark, walla I was thinking that it wont look good if its empty plate! lets share an orange better than a cupcake :P the cupcake looks small to share

  7. Nice work from JWT Kuwait :)

  8. Kre8tive

What you’d get is only a “small” portion since there’s a “lot sharing” from a “small offering”. Not very promising. They should make the cup cake very big. 3/10.

  9. it is a usb device that they’re sharing, cupcake works better

  10. Kre8tive

Nice try Moey, ain’t working though.

  11. Sami

  20. Kre8tive

Real Creative… we do like to throw “Harsh” words when criticizing ads, like these… I do agree this ad fell off short or should I say, OVERKILL.. now, can U please explain further the meaning of “CRAP”? Mark… pay attention, please.

  21. I am here listening. Waiting for Real Creative to reply.

Real Creative is Louai just for everyones information.

  22. hehe, really Mark? same IP? LOL…

  23. Real Creative

  24. Kre8tive

Ey Yo Real Creative, I don’t give a rat’s ass about whoever you are, Do you know who I am? See? So STFU and answer my friggin’ question why you call this ad “CR*P”… don’t gimme excuses :-P

  25. “maybe my first comment will be ur advertising first advertising lesson”

and in return maybe I could help you out with some English lessons?

But seriously though with a nickname like “Real Creative” I would really be interested in hearing what you have to say about the ad without you needing to sound all hip and black.

  26. Real Creative

    KRE8TIVE u arse !
lol man this ad is crap cause it lacks the concept. the metaphore isnt working at all, biatch ! read the first comment i posted and stop nagging.

  28. Kre8tive

For some reasons, my comments are being filtered.. A2B?

  29. Kre8tive

Anyways, whatever. RC, hit me with your rationale about this ad. Give us your thoughts (if you are going to create something like this). Everyone please listen :-)

  30. lol biatch!

  31. what’s going on here!

  32. Moonstar

Honestly this is a very normal ad. Not Wow, should have been more creative.

    Creative Direction : 2/10
    Art Direction : 5/10

  33. Kre8tive

Um Excuse me Moonstar, which ad school you come from and what’s your credentials to criticize this ad? (Hello, Patrick) lol

  34. Moonstar? is that a typo

  35. Moonstar is made up of two words, moon and star so this means he is disqualified from reviewing ads here

  36. Kre8tive

    ….Maybe Moonstar is Louai?

  37. I gave my honest feedback on this ad KRE8TIVE.

The concept is only about the tasty cup and spoons sharing them. It is not the ad that will make you sell but it is the brand. This type of “sharing” idea has been used regionally and internationally before many times.

And by the way this website is not just for some people who claim to be qualified professors of some creative schools but it is also for the public comments.

I am Moonstar (from Silverhawks) not Louai!

  38. Kre8tive

Thank you for being honest, Stardust or Silvermoon or whatever.
