Zero creativity, no wonder-this layout is overloaded with information

  2. mADman

    Good Lord!!! What happened here?!!

  3. Tricky

i feel that the account manager, account director, media buyer, media director, general manager, wife of general manager, marketing director, wife of marketing director, showroom owner, tea boy and 12 car salesmen, not to talk about the fake study that the marketing director made on 150 people, and seven sponsors with their marketing managers and wives intervened to create this ad ………..we call it “AD WITH A THOUSAND MESSAGE” back in the old days its called REKLAM

  4. Jean

    Thank you for all your insight full comments. I would like to respond to your personally;

Kelly; Zero Creavity? What do you expect- your selling milages and insurance packages.- Not a lifestyle. We leave create ads for individual products, lifestyle choices, and investments.

Madman; Kuwait is always loaded with great expectations and little room for agencies creative execution.

Louai; Habibi, Sushi is a great comparasion, considering every trendsetter under the sun including Paris, Lindsay and Eva hit Sushi clubs.

Tricky; YOU feel that the account manager, account director, media buyer, media director, general manager, wife of general manager, marketing director, wife of marketing director, showroom owner, tea boy and 12 car salesmen, not to talk about the fake study that the marketing director made on 150 people, and seven sponsors with their marketing managers and wives intervened to create this ad ………..we call it “AD WITH A THOUSAND MESSAGE” back in the old days its called REKLAM

Habibi thats why Toyota is number one in Kuwait and outsells any competitor by far. So we must be doing something right. ;)

    Keep it coming ;) Cheers.

Jean: Please, are you serious? Toyota position as nr. 1 is not an Al Sayer miracle only in Kuwait. Toyota sells not only because of the ads dictated by sales people here in this country. It’s because the product itself-high resale value, reliable and as the Land Cruiser has been the first SUV in this country there is an emotional attachment to this brand as well. It’s your job to advice the client about how much information an ad can take, even if it’s for promotional purpose and leave some space for decent “creativity” not the other way around.

  6. I think it is clean. I don’t mind it!

  7. kelly

What’s the top part (visual) supposed to be? Jean?

  8. Jean

Kelly I appreciate your honest input.

However please take a closer look at the ad please again.

We are offering the opportunity to buy a Toyota in principal “but” the the objective is the offer from Insurance companies selling packages to sell Toyota offered by the finance houses in the showroom.

No where in the ad does it mention anything about- Options, specs, etc. Just the models available *under these offers* you can get! (Excited?)

It makes me smile that you would really think that we/they would advise any client to ever put all this information in an ad? I think not. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose- but you get to present your ideas another day.

I wont preach, but just like to correct you on your facts about something because I hate misleading information

*Landcruiser is not an SUV. It is a 4×4- it has never been been marketed as an SUV. That is american term.

Also- do yourself a favour please. If you ever visit Australia, US or Europe see the difference between a “sales” intended ad as a promotion and compare it to the individual product advertising.

If you advise on constructive critism with the current elements in the ad, I would love to hear it. Thats what this site is there for right? Interaction between those of us who work in the industry.

PS. The top of the ad- is a big Al Sayer logo coming out at you in 3rd, that will blow you away if you dont rush down to the showroom for this exciting offer- check it out! :))

    Have a great weekend!

  9. Tricky

Jean are you a car salesman or a marketing director?

  10. Tricky

oh and i totally agree with Kelly

  11. JEAN…habibti…dont get worked out over my comment…instead lets go out for Sushi ;)

  12. Jean…I did not like the ad but i do really like the way you defend your agency work with passion.

  13. Louai, at least it is a worldwide respected agency ;)

  14. kelly

  17. kre8tive

… and the other woman too!! (:-D)

  18. Jean

    Tricky: I am skittle

Louai: Cheers mate! Sushi anytime- I am the sushi’nator!

Kre8tive: Unfortunately Kuwait is open to our playground of Ideas. We are limted to the clients thinking, thats we always try and exceed there expectations with a intelligent idea and hopefully they buy it.

  19. Jean, I understand. I work on Toyota/Lexus myself.

  20. keep up the good work

  21. IMPARTIAL

This ad shouldn’t have been posted on this blog. It carries no added value really. No idea what so ever, just a regular promotion. Let’s not post such promotions as they’re pointless. On the other hand, the whole automotive market is poised with this kind of creativity.. too bad!

  22. Jean

    IMPARTIAL- 100% right.
