I feel that it was not a strong communication. I should have images which are instantly recoognized and seen everyday to make it a more powerful message.

RAJQ8 could you give an example?

Nicely executed (outside Kuwait)… the idea is not bad but I wish you could have used characters with a stronger color reference such as “little RED riding hood” (it’s part of the story)… although a frog should be green but we’ve never referred to him as Kermet the GREEN frog, or the GREEN ninja turtles…

Nice work guys,

Wakim: Point taken but you don’t really want to spoon feed people that much. You don’t have to take “red riding hood” who wears a “red” cape and change the color. Everyone already knows the hulk is green, or that ninja turles are green even though they are not called The Green Hulk or The Green Ninja Turtles.

Well it’s not about spoon feeding but rather dramatising your idea with much more relevant visuals. Ninja turtles could be any color but little red riding hood has to be red otherwise the title has to change. The whole point is to dramatise, you have a nice idea to start with, I just feel it needs to be taken a few miles further.

Wakim, you need to just keep it simple.
You don’t need Red Riding Hood for people to get that we turned the red to blue, you don’t need Goldilocks for people to get that we turned her hair red from gold. Frankly if we actually used those 2 characters the campaign would have been lame and boring.
And FYI, the Ninja Turtle can only be green, you need to watch the cartoon ;)

Hi guys…
It’s so normal idea, and there’s nothing called creative work…
This called “BASIC THINKING”, The creative director has to think deeply to solve the solution, for that subject it was better to think emotional direction, to show what’s the RESULT of colour blind, i think that direction will give the effection will lead the parents to check thier children’s eyes. About the art direction, i didn’t see any art direction touch, sorry MARK, it was my opinion, thanx

more clarification…
The communication message has to be for the parents not for the children, many parents will see the ad or the poster and will not understand it, because it’s not their concerns with the cartoon as the creative director think, the changing of cartoons colour will not be the eye catching in the ad, thanx

Nice work. I dont see anything wrong in this ad. The color theme reflects the color blindness and plus toys make it more related to the kids.
It is different. Thumbs up for JWT

Ok i just found out 2 of these 3 ads got shortlisted at the Dubai Lynx (spidey and hulk didn’t make the cut). Really tough competition, you guys need to check it out:
http://www.dubailynx.com/news/index.cfm?newsid=26
JWT Kuwait have 3 short lists in total.
Short lists for Interactive and TVC categories still haven’t been released so our fingers are still crossed..
Bates Pan Gulf Kuwait also have 3 shortlists
FP7 Kuwait have 1
P&A Kuwait have 1
Fight for creative agency of the year is between JWT Dubai and FP7 Doha.

I agree with Imily. I was trying to say that the colours of the objects have to be obvious to all, such a green leaf, red rose, yellow sunflower, orange orange, purple brinjal, etc. or being in Kuwait you could have used the Kuwait flag.

Love the ads.
The only thing missing is a call for action. Is it an awarness campaign?? Can Taiba do anything for kids with color blindness?

RO click on the layouts for the call of action.
