    Wow! i like the execution…:)

  2. Aside from being overused, I am not pretty much crazy about the visual. The composition could’ve been better especially the execution. The red strip? Oh! It killed it double-time!

    Great execution.
KR8TIVE, where else was this visual used? Agree about the red strip…

  4. perhaps the red strip is there becouse wataniya is the “red carpet” company.

  5. Sami

no..i think these are guidelines that every advertising agency should follow..

  6. M.Z

Nice work …… keep it up .

  7. To Aero: I didn’t mean to say that this particular image was used (hmm, stock image?) but the idea of using a cellphone crashing. It was used years ago by Nissan Xtrail, BBDO asia-pacific and if i’m not mistaken, I saw Memac Ogilvy did the same (whoops! Louai, you got a candidate here!)

To Sami: There are many types of guidelines, what I felt for this red strip is “useless” and “waste of space” to me this is just a way of IN-YOUR-FACE branding, well, why not just slap their logo on the right top corner of the page since every soul in Kuwait is familiar with the Wataniya logo?

To Louai: I think the red carpet concept is so very long gone. They actually doesn’t sound right to me, RED CARPET? Can’t they come up with some other positioning and colors? Gulf Bank is Red too!… Like CBK and KFH is Green… and so on… I mean there are gazillion colors that the human eye can appreciate and choose from…wtf?! :-)

u cant just change the layout to please ur fancy KRE8TIVE, they should change their design depending on the designers taste ? today you felt like the right corner tomorrow another feels like the left corner ? i don’t really fancy their branding, but at least it is consistent. and you should appreciate that ;) the logo is and (i assume) will always be on the bottom right corner, with the text facing it, until a re branding happens, until then you don’t judge a project based on it template. :D

just a reminder for KRE8ive, that we are not discussing the template, nor the branding :D

Anon it seems that you work at wataniyya…:)

SAMI, no i dont, but i work in this field and i understand the restriction a brand sets and u shouldnt brake them just cause you want too. if someone has a magic wand that would change these restraints over night, please let me borrow it :p . people expect all designers to have that magic wand that will change a brand and its image over night :D

    :)

  14. Aero since you are the marketing manger of Wataniya it kinda makes it weird that you are here complimenting work which you personally approved…

  15. A E R O

Hey, mark, i didnt personally approve this one, it’s a pretty large company you know… im in consumer, this is corporate as you can surely tell.
