   Why dont the locals take on professional help, when it comes to English and before making public thier messages? At least, it prevents them from being consider illiterate and foolish. Such examples are galore across Kuwait and you will find many in the public displays and even in the press.

   Is this an English Club? I would love to know your educational backgrounds. But hey who gives a damn! For your “information” you’re insulting a very respectable organization that has so many educated people with high degrees. And the company already knew that there was a miss spelled word. And it has been taking care of and done with. And you can go back there and take a picture of it. This kind of work takes time to be fixed. It’s not like they can take an eraser and pick the letter off. High quality flex banner with 3M German stickers which some of you wouldn’t have a clue what I’m talking about takes time. To make it simple and easy to understand this is a 3×21 banner that need to be taking off and redo the whole thing again from printing to installing the sheet. And hey everyone makes mistakes, even big companies. To end this look somewhere else to mess around with!

   P.S. As for you RajQ8. It’s not thier messages it’s their messages! Now who’s foolish?!

    I design - This may not be an English club, but the world reads what you print. So better be more careful before hand, than someone else point it out to you. I am sure this artwork must have passed several hands before it got pasted as a signboard. Somebody should have cared. As to changing it (as u said takes time), alternate measures could have been adopted to mask the errors (like patching up the extra letter).

    I suggested was a temporary solution before the final correction was made. Also, it would have shown that they have realised that it was an error and they are taking care of it. Such guffaws are better hidden and acknowledge sooner and corrected faster.

    The story behind the pic..
    Went there with few US friends to have breakfast at TSC, noticed the sign but acted as if i did not see it..i wanted to take a photo of it right then and there but i didn’t.. did not want to point it out that we have an “informaition” center that bad.. if they can’t spell it right, then what kinf of info would you expect?? well.. 3 days later i went there again and guess what..the sign was still there..uncorrected, untouched..
    1. it should have not been there in the 1st place..
    2. it should not take that long to be noticed/changed
    3. don’t see the insult there..isn’t it an insult to mis-spell such a word on such a center??
    4. the 3 X 21 can be taken down in less than two hours
    5. better to keep the light box empty than keeping it there till the reprint of the 3M german sticker is corrected!!
