STC's teaser and revealer campaign was quite a hit... although we can comment on the creativity part, let's not forget that the colors (white and the rest of the flashy colors) did attract many eyes on the road one early morning. So I guess that they did reach in a way their target, they got people disputing on a blog :p

Should we remember Zain's campaign which did overload the streets and was huge but failed to reveal properly. On the reveal date, most of the billboards/mupis still had the teaser ads on.

So... would you go buy a Viva line now?? Personally, I am still loyal to Wataniya (since day 1)...

Oh... one more thing.. rule number 1 in advertising, never create ads to win awards, create ads to reach ur client's objectives...

Obviously in STC's case the objective is to create awareness.. and i believe the campaign did achieve that....

cheers

This really is confusing... especially that some of the guys criticizing STC’s campaign work with JWT and work on the Zain account…

Guys, dunno where u've been before or what type of markets u were active in... but to me, creativity and effectiveness of a campaign is measured only by research and not by a subjective opinion or a personal judgment. What looks good for you might never achieve the required objectives. The campaign is considered successful only after doing the required scientific research measurements. You can't just brag abt it being good or not... especially coming from JWT... with all due respect.

Naah, I was just playing with you, Mark. I don't think the guy is even worth your time and mine. He doesn't want your job, but wants you out of your job, I think :-))

kre8tive you think the guy has a point? Did his comment seem to you like a rationally thought out argument or an emotional vent? He sounds like a person who wanted my job and didn't get it or someone who applied to our agency and got turned away...
