  2. unpossible

Mr. Baker is not handled by FCB anymore. Was this layout sent to you by someone in FCB?

  3. a2b

no it wasn't. if it's not FCB, we can exclude it from the agency's category list

  4. Long John

it was done by Dr. Evil!!!!

  5. Hassan CD

FCB are losing it belive me.

When someone starts cutting costs by getting unexperienced cheaper staff. Then they will go down for sure.

I dont know how they received agency of the year.

Just received an email today confirming that “Mr Baker” has been dropped by HorizonDraftFCB and the new agency that is handling the business today is Hudhud

  15. Did they mention in the e-mail WHY Mr. Baker was dropped?

it would be intresting to learn how and when should an agency drop a client.

  16. thinker

"Mr Baker" with Graffitti, it's not with hudhud

  17. thinker

    "Mr Baker" with Graffitti,

    it's not with hudhud

  18. A2B it seems your information is not accurate. so if it is Garffiti and not Hudhud then it could also be that Mr. Baker droped the agency and not the other way around.

NB. my information is that the account was won by Graffiti from Horizon Draft FCB ;)

  19. Impartial

A2B is right. My information from reliable sources: Horizon Draft FCB dropped Mr. Baker & Kanafani accounts which went afterwards to HudHud. If Graffiti is handling Mr. Baker now, this means that it won the account from HudHud. Louai, your source is wrong, check with Horizon management, they are your friends at the IAA.

  20. Ok. I just came back from having coffee with Mr. Ali Mazeh (Graffiti GM) and he confirmed to me that they won the account from Horizon…but this don’t matter who is right and who is wrong as no one will learn anything from this information; however we can all learn from the answer to the important question …why and how an Horizon dropped this client?

  21. thinker

I think it's not ur business ya LOUAI… it's better to answer why u dropped ur almost accounts?

  22. RO

Dunno why there is so much of a fuss about this ad. Seems pretty clear that there is no concept and judging from the size of everything in the artwork it also seems clear that its a client directing the ad.

  23. DP

hello, hope everyone is doing well. ive been up to date on everything thats going on in ads2blog and i would like to add a few comments to the table.

1- A very reliable source at mr.Baker has confirmed that Horizon has dropped Mr.Baker and not vice versa.

2- Dear Louai, is there any particular reason you enjoy degrading yourself by being such an unfriendly, unprofessional, talentless trouble maker?

3- I agree the ad is lousy, and obviously very client directed; however, please get the facts straight.

    Cheers,

    DP

JOE…Why did you thanks to Gibert…I cant see Gilbert in these picture!!!

  25. joe

    Must be a typo mistake…

  26. RO

Louai, did Horizon loose this account to Graffiti or did they drop it? In your last statement, u first say that Graffiti won it from Draft and later u asked for clarification as to why Draft dropped the account. Which one is it?

It makes a world of a difference if u drop an account or lose an account!

Oh yeah Joe! Even im curious to know why u thanked Gilbert?

  27. Hassan C.D

    Joe,

I have left these comments for you becuase this is the truth & Horizon is no longer considered a competitive competitor in the market as before. You have high turnover rate since no one is happy with the quality of work. Lots of people inside take credit for other's work. Also as i heard from previous pitches ( e.g Aqua Mondo) the agency's work level has sunk to a new level.

  28. RO, I know that Graffiti won it but i wanted to play along to see if Horizon is a good sport and would admit that they lost the account (now one wins all the time :) and this is the nature of the business you win some you lose some. but they did not admit it and continue to claim that they dropped the client so if they really did then whey not share with us the secret of dropping the account after so much time?

  29. joe

    Hassan,

We don't discuss sensitive issues over the net, that's why I insist to talk to you over the phone. There are lots of rumors circulating pertaining the agency, and just to prove my point, we never pitched for Aqua Mondo and new business has been very good this year. But as Louai said, you win some and you lose some, that is not important as long as the overall business is growing.

    Louai,

Again, we don't discuss sensitive issues over the net, we have great respect for our clients even when we decide to end the business relationship. Pass by the agency anytime and we'll show you what you need to see, may be then you'll believe! The Baker Group has more than one brand, one went to HudHud, another to Graffiti apparently, and there are still a couple of brands that need agency identification.
