  7. thinker

    Really it's shame on u….

  8. kre8tive

It seems that people around here are more concerned about the technical side of an ad (which is so easy to spot) and does not focus on the concept of the ad itself. Pity. My question is, what makes Gulfnet a 'part of my life' ?!?

  9. Ibrahim

KRE8TIVE , Wataniya also had some similar slogan like this, what makes Wataniya part of my life? i think they mean we as a people can't live without internet , it became part of our daily life. And Internet mean ISP and i ISP means Gulfnet, I guess the message is very clear. Yes people are concerned about technical side its because designers are more concerned about the technical view of the ads. At lest "SAM" stood up and said that he did this and didnt think what if people hates this ads and will give negative comments on it, some of you did also, how many of you did a job and said that I DID IT? in previous post sam accepted his mistake and promise to provide something better for the next ads, right sam? :).

its very easy to critique something good or bad but creation is that much tough. Guys stop commenting stupid, show him the way to improve it, show if you were there then how could you improve this ads? feel free to give your ideas to everyone other then pointing at something.

goood work Sam i love your work, keep it up!

KRE8TIVE….you said "concept!!!!!!!!" IN KUWAIT???????? LMFAO ROTFL

  12. kre8tive

Thanks for that reply, Ibrahim. Respect.

As you know, 'part of your life' has been taken already by Wataniya, I guess GulfNet was a bit behind on this. Anyhow, besides the point, the ad never conveys the message they wanted to put across, btw, thank you for explaining to me the very obvious (as the ad tries to be literal), what I was saying is that, the ad should show what the ad is suppose to say, simply put. I hope you know what I mean, and let's try not to be sensitive when someone tries to critique someone's job, remember, this is a blog where everyone is entitled to say what they want, regardless useful or attacks. Bottomline is, for the person who's being under fire, he or she should learn from it and view things in a positive manner – which is what it is all about.

ps. this is waay better than the orange superlogo :)

  13. Ibrahim

its not sensitivity but its about whats right and whats wrong.

take a look at @thinker comments,

is that personal attack? :), i was just trying say be friendly on the comments everyone makes , why do i like this ads? its because i hardly get enough creative ads to see around. At lest sam has tried something which is different then others… ( design point of view ) concept wise i guess you are right, things has to be more simple and straight to the point. :)

  14. kre8tive

It is your comment(s) what makes who you are. No more, no less. Let it be entertaining :)

  15. sam

    thanks Mr.Ibrahim :), u answerd me..

  16. Adam Serhan

the concept is very clear and now doubts about it.. am concerned about the technical part. if you ask me why .. i like to know how things come together. i like putting things together my self it excites me.

i really support Ibrahim and Sams pint of view in the mater of criticising some ones work with constructive feedback and mature point of view.. but we still get personal attacks every now and then as if. we killed some ones mother. this is the field of art, communications arts. Media and advertising it should be fun competitive rather then dull and insulting.

and i don't understand why the THINKER hade to say shame on you.. its not entering my head the only thing that i can THINK of is jealousy envious and trying to put some one down. Simply cus they cant go up. i have a few comments like that on some of my art work. but i tend to ignore it . if it was up to me. i would not even post such comments… its what brings the blog to a

Lower standards. with all my respect to ADS2BLOG ADMIN. and the blog its self.

I support the gulf net campaign visuals by SAM and I think they look 3Dish because of the Hue corrections and mood he composed specially the 3D Clay figures

And some one said something about it being very obvious that its not 3D and clearly and image manipulation I think because they are not experienced in 3D. we can get the same result via 3D.

Some Constructive feed back for Sam.

just simply work a bit more on the "vanishing points" in side the mouse should have same vanishing point of your landscape. Other then that its TIGHT ! its creative its letting me use my imagination witch is the fun part. plus its entertaining and clear. Attention grabber. plus i just rated you 5 out of 5 you deserve it. you broke out of the box. in comparison to Q net.. sorry don't mean to compare you.. but you know what i mean.

  17. sam

    thanks Adam Serhan appriciated.

  18. sam

consider that in my next project you all will find some better inshallah, thanks for the critique, actually I wasn't given enough time to work on the details, I also realize my mistake but there wasn't enough time to correct them as i had to meet the deadline. :)

  19. WhiteWolf2009

the execution.. i like it. but the concept it self.. I REALLY HATE IT!

see only 1 tiny guy is enjoying the service at the corner.. why not 2 or 3 of them? and it seems there's a family photo session going on ;)

  20. "P"

Concerning the "Part of your life" part, it was even used before Wataniya by Nathan's!

    Check them out!

  21. jayson

    I like the concept… :)

But, what I didn't like is the above super size logo (I assumed that the client told you to make their logo that big), and the "slap on your face copy"- – sorry, but it's too big, not to mention the not so good choice of font (typo).

If you'd just tried to put the logo below(inline with others) and at the same time make the copy a bit smaller, then I think it would be great… =)
