Here’s a new media tool idea i received today via mail offering an opportunity in branding the interior of a bus. It says “Target a truly captive audience, 400-450 passengers/day/bus & 550-600 passengers on Sunday/day/bus. Attendees have few competing distractions during the 10-15 bus ride at least twice per day”. 

And the branding covers the following spots:

• TFT screens 
• Back door space
• Back space
• Drivers roof
• Headrest covers
• Entrance space
• Canopy covers
• Space above seats
• Front end space

n.b.: they mentioned nothing about the target audience profile.

Soon in Marina Mall.. i have no idea how this thing is going to operate/fly inside the mall coz it’s quiet big.. but hey, there’s always a room for a new media tool in Kuwait :)

In addition to the advertising banner that u can have on both sides, this balloon can also drop tickets, flyers or brochures to the audience while flying and can also video record their response when they catch the material. The rate card is saying that u can rent this tool (excluding the video recording & ticket droper) for KD 400 per day..

Had an email today about an interesting media tool that will be launched very soon in Kuwait “Fog Screen”. This machine will be displayed in Marina Mall during Feb festival. It looks like a smoke machine that mirrors a projection of any ad u would like to run. The cool part about it is that people can pass through the fog while the ad is being played. Check this [video] out, u’ll have a clearer idea. No rate card yet, but will post it as soon as i get it. 

A new media tool idea born in Kuwait called “Mobile Phone Charger”. This machine will be displayed in most of the university students gathering spots such as cinemas, malls, complexes and surely in some of the universities where everybody can recharge their mobile batteries for free.

The advertiser can take advantage of this charger by either sponsoring/sticker branding the whole body of the machine or using the poster board to communicate his product or even play some of his TV commercials on the build-in screen.

I know nothing about the rate card yet, but will very soon. And one more thing, this machine can recharge any mobile battery:)

Update 05.02.07: just knew from a friend of mine now that those machines are already installed in several places for a while now… and it would really look weird to stand next to it for around half an hour just to recharge ur mobile. i agree with him :)
