New Mac OS X Lion and iOS 5
Apple recently announced 2 major updates of its operating systems OS X and iOS at the 2011 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC 2011), Apples’ annual event highlighting its newest products and updates to developers. The update promises to bring over 250 new features to OS X including new multi-touch gestures, a new file-sharing service called AirDrop as well as a new auto-save feature that saves multiple versions of documents, something that I’m sure all agency creative departments would appreciate.
What’s new for iOS (the iPhone and iPad operating system)? Well, the claim is that over 200 new features will be coming its way including a new notifications system (a bar to the top of the screen similar to the one found in Android) and an iOS exclusive instant messaging app called iMessage (similar to BBM) For a company that’s famous for suing its competitors for copying their ideas, it’s ironic how the tables have somehow turned.
